About Us
Giving due importance to the health consciousness and fitness drive by the citizens, the government has identified health care as India's number one public priority. Nurses play a central role in delivering health care. They advocate for health promotion, educate patients and the public on the prevention of illness and injury. No other health care profession has such a broad and far-reaching role. Nursing care has always been an integrated part of human medicine and has developed into a profession unto itself. Florence Nightingale, regarded as the founder of modern Nursing, remembered as the lady with the lamp, proved that the main cause of fatalities in the 'Crimean war' was not enemy fire but infections attributed to improper sanitation.

Owing to the advancements in the field of health care and the requirements of the community for trained professionals and also to transform the potential of local students into reality, Banger Education Trust, under the chairpersonship of Smt Prem Lata, a social worker, has established Birender Singh College of Nursing (BSCN) at Uchana (Jind) with active support and co-operation of local people. The College aims to nurture, teach and explore the talent of young boys and girls of the area so that they become proficient nurses with fundamental understanding of disease, medicine, surgery and therapy. The objectives of BSCN are based on the fundamental principle of nursing care which advocates that nurse is to foster.

BSCN College nestled in the lush green countryside on Delhi-Patiala NH-71, equidistance of 15 KM from JIND as well as NARWANA is accessible both by road and rail very conveniently. The college envisages to impart instructions to the students through a vigorous professional curriculum set by the university that will combine classroom learning, skill development and extracurricular activities by a team of dedicated teachers. The students shall be groomed with intellectual nourishment to develop into confident, caring, and compassionate Nurses with tender mind who will take on challenging assignments in India and overseas. The College shall make efforts to provide additional awareness and training for making them eligible for internationally recognized certification such as RN (registered nurses) NCLEX and IELTS/ TOEFL.
